Purchasing Managers' Indexes (PMI) are economic indicators derived from monthly surveys of private sector companies. The two principal producers of PMIs are Markit Group & Institute for Supply Management (ISM).Markit Group conducts PMIs for over 30 countries worldwide and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), which conducts PMIs for the US.
An indicator of the Economic Health of the Manufacturing sector. The PMI index is based on five major indicators: 1.New orders,
2.Inventory levels, 3.Production,4.Supplier deliveries,5.Employment environment.
PMI data important Data to consider for Base Metals,Once PMI data is Positive,its Positive news Base metals to Trade higher.
Once PMI Data is Negative,Base Metals likely to trade Lower.
U S(ISM Data) & Chinese PMI are most Driving Factors for Base Metal Prices.
